Dish names are translated automatically and may contain errors. Always verify allergies and diets with the restaurant. Diet marks come from the restaurant's own menu: G gluten-free · L lactose-free · M dairy-free · VG vegan.

Privacy

Lounasaika is designed to be used fully anonymously: no account, no login, no mandatory cookies.

Location data

Features that use your location ("Near you" and "distance from you" sorting) only ask for browser location permission when you actively choose that feature. Location is processed entirely in your browser: distances to restaurants are calculated on your device, and your location is never sent to our server or stored anywhere.

Restaurant view counters

We count how many times each restaurant's menu has been shown and opened on the service, so we can report visibility back to the restaurant. The counter is fully anonymous: we only store the restaurant's identifier, the event type and a timestamp — nothing about you (no IP address, no cookie, no identifier).

Visitor statistics

We use Vercel Web Analytics, which is cookie-free and does not build an identifying profile. We may also use Google Analytics 4, but only if you grant permission via the choice at the bottom of the page. Without your permission, Google Analytics is never loaded at all. You can clear your choice by removing this site's browsing data from your browser.

Favorites and optional account

Favorite restaurants are stored by default only in your own browser (localStorage). Nothing is sent to our server. If you want favorites available on multiple devices, you can optionally sign in with an email link or a Google account. In that case we store your email address and favorites list in a database located in the EU. We do not use this data for marketing. You can request deletion of your account and its data via the restaurant form.

Lounasvahti newsletter

If you subscribe to Lounasvahti, we store your email address and send you your favorite restaurants' lunch menus on weekday mornings. Your address is not used for anything else and is never shared onward. You can cancel the subscription any time from your account, which removes your address from the mailing list.

Restaurant form

Information submitted via the restaurant form (including the email address you provide) is delivered to us through a form-relay service and is used only to process your request. This data is not used for marketing and is never shared onward.
